Fred's Signs was founded in 1992 by Fred Ruprecht, who began the business from the basement of his home. Initially focusing on serving the real estate market—both residential and commercial—as well as new construction, Fred quickly carved out a niche in the signage industry. That niche remains a cornerstone of the business today.

In August 2010, Fred's Signs expanded to its current location in Ben Avon, just five miles north of Downtown Pittsburgh, continuing to grow each year. Despite its growth, the company has preserved its customer-first, family-run atmosphere, blending the personal touch of a small business with the capabilities of much larger companies.

Known for producing high-quality signage at competitive prices, Fred's Signs offers a wide range of products, from interior and exterior signs to specialty items. The company’s affordable services are especially appreciated by local churches, non-profits, and other community organizations that rely on them for their signage and fundraising efforts.

Today, Fred's Signs is operated by Fred and Paula Ruprecht, with the support of a dedicated team of full- and part-time employees. As the company continues to grow, they remain focused on meeting the diverse needs of their expanding customer base.
